HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU WALK?

For each group dog walk we keep to a group of 4/5 dogs. This means there are enough dogs for them to enjoy one another’s company and play together, while also ensuring us close control over the group. Each group is formed with age, size and personality in mind.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, Country Hound is insured with Cliverton. We are also DBS checked and will happily send you a copy of our certificates on request.

WHERE DO YOU WALK?

Dog walking locations around Cheltenham include Leckhampton Hill, Crickley Hill, Cooper’s Hill, Cranham Woods and more! We are also licensed to walk on Cleeve common. We keep track of where the groups have walked, and frequently alternate locations to provide the most enriching walks possible.

CAN I CANCEL?

We politely ask that you provide 48 hours notice for any cancellations, for no charges to apply.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Please fill out the form on the Contact page. From there, we will send you a registration form for the service you enquire about, and arrange a free home visit at your convenience. This is a chance for you to meet us, for us to meet your dog, and for all of us to discuss the services you require.

DO YOU WORK BANK HOLIDAYS?

We are potentially able to provide both group dog walks and puppy visits on bank holidays upon request, although higher rates will apply.

DO YOU BOARD?

Unfortunately we do not offer boarding for dogs. Occasionally, we may be able to pet sit dogs at the client’s house for existing clients only.

WHAT HAPPENS IN WET/HOT WEATHER?

We will walk your dog in almost all weathers. When dogs get wet or muddy during a walk, we wash them with our ‘porta-shower’ and towel dry them to the best of our ability. In hotter weather, we travel with air-conditioning and will only walk in the cool woods, however we may also liaise with owners to arrange walks earlier in the day to ensure that the dogs do not get hot. Very occasionally, walks may be cancelled if the temperature is a risk to the dogs’ welfare. When your dog must be walked earlier, or the walk is cancelled entirely, it may be possible for us to provide a home visit.
